We are full of confidence in the future stationery industry

At the end of the 17th China International Stationery and Gifts Fair (Ningbo Stationery Fair) in July this year, we saw that as the first large-scale stationery fair in the world since the outbreak of the epidemic, the data of various exhibitions still reached a new high. At the same time, the event broke the boundaries of time and space, and foreign companies in several places around the world did not leave their homes “cloud” to negotiate with exhibitors. Let us be filled with information about the future development of the stationery industry.

As an annual stationery festival restarted after the epidemic, the exhibition reached a record high in scale and set a new record for the stationery industry in the Asia-Pacific region. In a total of 35,000 square meters of five exhibition halls, a total of 1107 enterprises to participate in the exhibition, set up 1,728 booths, 19,498 visitors.

The exhibitors mainly came from 18 provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Shandong and Anhui, and enterprises from Wenzhou, Duan, Jinhua and other five main producing areas of stationery in Zhejiang province participated in the exhibition. Ningbo enterprises accounted for 21% of the total. In yiwu, Qingyuan, Tonglu, Ninghai and other stationery production characteristic areas, the local government shall take the lead to organize and mobilize enterprises in the area under its jurisdiction to participate in the exhibition in groups.

Exhibitors brought tens of thousands of new products, covering desktop office, writing tools, art supplies, student supplies, office supplies, gifts, stationery production and processing equipment and parts, involving all categories of stationery industry and upstream and downstream industrial chain.

Due to the impact of the epidemic, most of the main stationery areas attended the exhibition together. In this ningbo stationery exhibition, in addition to groups from Ninghai, Cixi, Wenzhou, Yiwu, Fenshui and Wuyi, Qingyuan Bureau of Commerce and Qingyuan Pencil Industry Association organized 25 key enterprises such as Hongxing, Jiuling, Meimei and Qianyi to participate in the exhibition for the first time. Tonglu Fenshui town, known as “the hometown of Chinese pen making”, super sized gift pen enterprise “Tiantuan” also appeared in this stationery exhibition, in order to convey the brand goal of “let the world’s per capita pen”.

Ningbo stationery exhibition industry is also the first on the “cloud”. The square exhibition hall is set up in the museum to hold real-time online procurement matchmaking. Many exhibitors gather in the cloud, and some exhibitors seek new ways by “live broadcast” and “cloud with goods”. Ningbo Stationery exhibition center has set up a special network line and Zoom video conference room to realize the face-to-face communication between overseas buyers and domestic enterprises. The data collected on the spot shows that 239 overseas buyers from 44 countries and regions in the world will hold a video docking with participating suppliers in 2007.
